UK-based The Projection Studios Ross Ashton was appointed as projection consultant for this aspect of the show by Mik Auckland, part of a specialist team from Jack Morton Worldwide, who brought their experience of producing large, high profile events to the equation.

Outdoor projection is the art of using local infrastructure as the projection surface instead of a screen.  Buildings and landscapes can be the surfaces used for outdoor projection.
