London-based Park Avenue collaborated with their German sister company Citigate SEA, to produce a spectacular live extravaganza for the launch of the newly formed HSH-Nordbank. The event, staged at the Colour Line Arena in Hamburg, celebrated the merger of two leading North German financial institutions - Hamburgische Landesbank and LB Kiel.
Both Park Avenue and Citigate SEA are part of the Incepta Group. Park Avenue co-ordinated all technical and creative aspects of the show – which featured a dramatic 20 minute aerial collage of colour and movement artistically directed by Simon Taping, and choreographed by Micha Bergese (of Millennium Dome’s ‘Central’ show renown). The event’s logistics were handled by communications, marketing and new media experts Citigate.
Park Avenue’s Chairman Derrick Tuke Hastings explained that Park Avenue was approached by its sister company to bring flair and pizzazz to the show arena, which coupled with SEA’s innate understanding of the German marketplace to offer one integrated package. “At Park Avenue we believe in European solutions, and also in involving local skills and knowledge at grass roots level to realise the best atmosphere and events.” Says Tuke-Hastings
The guests – HSH-Nordbank’s employees plus a selection of their top clients – arrived for dinner and a champagne reception in the foyer areas – completely unaware of what lay in store in the arena! The aerial show was followed by a short press conference and ‘handshake’ before the finale. – a full on Bon Jovi gig! The band – midway through a German tour – rocked to a tumultuous reception, easily as enthusiastic as one of their own gigs! | Click on the pictures for the large version |
